Project: Design Tools and Insights for Low-Intensity Wireless Power Systems
Student: Ying Li
Funding: National Science Foundation
Wireless power systems are slowly emerging in a variety of applications such as passive RFID systems, inductively coupled methods for recharging appliances, and resonance or propagating wave structures. In this work, we focus on phase-conjugation or time-reversal based methods for low-intensity wireless power system design. We examine constraints, theoretical and computational limits, and the effect of variability in this project, and apply it to both passive RFID systems and to wireless power transfer.
